Women in Entertainment (501c3) was founded in 2015 by Renee Rossi and Gretchen McCourt to bring together forward-thinkers from all areas of the entertainment industry to explore topics that greatly impact women, from human rights and women’s leadership to storytelling across platforms and empowering the next generation of women to emerge as creative powerhouses.


Renee Rossi

Renee Rossi, co-founder of Women in Entertainment and Founder/CEO of Relativity Ventures, is a seasoned expert in global media strategy, brand positioning, creative campaigns, and strategic development. With extensive experience in media, entertainment, and technology, Renee possesses a remarkable ability to generate positive press, orchestrate large-scale events, and enhance brand reputation. Her track record includes securing executive placements and establishing strategic platforms for clients across diverse industries.

Gretchen McCourt

Gretchen McCourt, COO of the newly revamped MoviePass and co-founder of Women in Entertainment, brings a wealth of experience from the entertainment industry. Her expertise lies in leading strategic consulting projects and crafting brand and growth strategies for diverse clients. Previously, as Chief Content Officer and EVP of Cinema Programming at Pacific Theaters Entertainment Corporation, Gretchen played a pivotal role in expanding ArcLight Cinemas and overseeing film selection, marketing, and communications.
